    Our IoT hardware partner builds the device and runs the whole connectivity layer: the hardware, the SIM, the cellular data and the over-the-air updates. It reads position, speed, the odometer, the battery's state of charge and its estimated range, and sends them straight into your coride dashboard.

Find out while the bike is still moving

An e-bike is the one vehicle a person can pick up and carry away, and across Europe between 11% and 18% of owners have had one taken. Draw the area your bikes are allowed to be in, set the handful of rules that matter, and find out while the bike is still moving instead of the next morning.

  • Geofence enter and leave, and distance moved from where it was parked

Charge, range & readiness

Stop sending out bikes that won't last the morning

A bike with 14% left is not available, whatever your booking tool says. Read the state of charge and the estimated range off every bike in the fleet, sort by the ones that will not last the morning, and send the swap round to the right racks instead of all of them.

  • Documents per bike

    The purchase invoice, the EN 15194 declaration, the insurance and the service history, filed on the bike rather than in a folder somewhere.

  • Checklists

    Your own pre-season and post-ride checks, worked through on a phone and filed into that bike's logbook with the name of whoever did them.

  • Winter storage

    Hibernation mode for the bikes that are off the road, so a parked fleet stops generating noise. It sends much less data, so alerts can be delayed while it is on.

    E-bikes are new for us. Fleets are not. We are not going to show you an e-bike case study we do not have. The same platform, the same dashboard and the same app run boat-rental fleets and a lake-rescue service today, and manufacturers ship it as their own app. E-bikes are a vehicle type it already supports — worth knowing before you decide.

    What operators ask first.

    Is this a booking system?

    No. There is no availability calendar, no payments and no customer checkout, and none is planned for this release. Keep the booking or sharing platform you already run — this is the vehicle layer underneath it: where each e-bike is, how much charge and range it has left, what happened while it was out and what it needs next. If booking ships later it becomes a fifth capability here, not a replacement for your reservation system.

    Where does the hardware come from, and what does it cost?

    The device, the SIM, the cellular data and the over-the-air updates come from an IoT hardware partner who specialises in light-vehicle connectivity, and they price that part against your fleet — so you will not find a hardware number on this page, because it is not ours to quote. What is ours is priced above: CHF 10 per connected e-bike per month and CHF 49 for the web app, with 14 days free. Ask us and we will put the hardware quote in front of you with the rest. You can run the whole dashboard on a demo e-bike before any hardware conversation starts.

    Will it tell me a bike is being stolen — and will I get it back?

    It will tell you. Movement away from where it was parked, towing or tilt detected, a geofence exit and the module losing power are all alert rules you can set, and any of them can push to your phone while the bike is still moving. The trip record keeps the track. Getting it back is a different question: published recovery rates run at 2–5% without a tracker and 25–40% with one that is fitted and monitored, and that is the honest frame. This is a recovery aid, not a recovery service — there is no immobiliser and we do not call the police for you.

    Can I lock or unlock a bike from the dashboard?

    No. The dashboard reads from the bike; it does not send commands to it, and nothing on this page should be read as remote locking, unlocking or immobilising. Some connectivity hardware does offer lock features, so if that is what you need, that conversation belongs with the hardware partner and with your sharing platform. There is a separate vehicle-control service on the platform for remote parameters, but it is enabled per account on request and it is not a handover mechanism.

    Does it read the battery properly, or just a voltage?

    Properly. The bike's pack arrives as a real state of charge in per cent, together with an estimated range in kilometres, the total distance off the bike's own odometer and the lowest battery temperature — which is the one that matters for packs that live outside all winter. Two honest notes. The dashboard labels the bike's pack “Cluster state of charge (%)”, while “State of charge (battery %)” is the module's own cell, so the more obvious-sounding label is the less interesting one. And there is no state-of-health or charge-cycle count: we can tell you how full a pack is, not how tired it is.

    Does it work with Bosch, Shimano or Brose drive systems?

    The integration is with the connectivity device, not with the drive brands directly — what reaches your dashboard is whatever the device reads on that particular bike, so which bikes and which systems are supported is a question for the hardware partner, and one we will get answered for your fleet. There is no direct Bosch eBike Systems, Shimano, Brose or Fazua integration on our side, and we would rather say so than let you assume one.

    Is there a real e-bike vehicle type, or does it run as something generic?

    A real one. Electric bicycle is a first-class vehicle type: the menu says E-bikes, the maintenance pages say Own E-bikes and Clients' E-bikes, the dashboard counts E-bikes active today, and the alert rules are worded for a bike — “E-bike detects towing / tilt”, “E-bike moves away from location”. The free trial can even hand you a demo e-bike so there is something to click before you connect anything.

    Can I see what each bike earns?

    You can see what each bike does — kilometres, hours out, number of trips, most and least used, by bike and by period. There is a cost-and-revenue view, but its inputs are the price of a litre of petrol and kilometres per litre, so it is built for a combustion fleet and does not apply to an e-bike. Utilisation is the number to trust here, and it is the one the insights pages are actually built on.

    Can I set one alert rule for the whole fleet?

    Not yet. Notification rules are configured for a single user and a specific bike — the settings say so in as many words — so rolling a rule out across 200 bikes is 200 rules today. Worth knowing before you plan the first afternoon.

    What happens over winter, when half the fleet is in storage?

    Hibernation mode. A bike in hibernation sends much less data, which saves its battery, and the dashboard flags it as hibernating rather than pretending it is live. The trade-off is explicit in the product: alerts can be delayed or deactivated while it is on, and coming back out of it can take up to three hours. Use it on the racks that are genuinely off the road, not on the ones you still want watched.

    Does the rider get anything?

    Yes, if you want them to. The coride app gives one rider access to one bike — where it is, what charge is left, the ride so far, its documents, and a message thread back to you — and you grant and revoke that access per bike. There is also a no-track mode that switches location recording off when someone asks, and turns itself back on automatically 24 hours later.

    I look after other people's e-bikes rather than my own.

    Then this page is the wrong half of the product. The dashboard already separates your own E-bikes from Clients' E-bikes, so the shop and service-partner side exists on the platform — it just does not have its own page here yet. Tell us what you run and we will show you that side.

    What does it cost to try?
